New York Alienation Act
The New York Alienation Act is a legislative initiative devoted to restoring fairness, accountability, and compassion within New York’s family law system. Our mission is to protect one of the most sacred constitutional rights—the right of every parent and child to maintain a meaningful, loving relationship without interference, manipulation, or alienation.
Across New York State, countless mothers, fathers, and children are being emotionally separated through deliberate acts of alienation, often without effective legal recognition or remedy. This Act seeks to end that injustice by ensuring that emotional and relational alienation is clearly defined and addressed as a form of psychological and emotional harm. We advocate for judicial training, public education, and legislative reform so that courts, social service agencies, and mental health professionals understand and respond appropriately to the devastating impact of alienation.
Our vision is to promote unity, healing, and accountability—rebuilding trust between parents and children and creating a family court system that values truth, transparency, and the emotional well-being of all parties. The New York Alienation Act calls for the creation of prevention programs, counseling resources, and legal enforcement mechanisms that protect parental bonds and prevent further alienation before it becomes permanent damage.
Together, through awareness, advocacy, and legislative action, we can strengthen families, reduce emotional trauma, and ensure that every child in New York has the right to love and be loved by both parents without obstruction.
